This site has very easy to use, logical navigation, esthetically pleasing and is fast loading. Because it is interesting and easy to use, I often stay in the site longer than for my initial purpose.
Poor Design Site:

This site has navigation that disappears from time to time. You need to hover over a button for it to appear. There is quite a bit of animation or flash happening when you load and it takes a long time to load.
Useful Site:

I use this site at work quite a bit. This site is useful in searching for information and ideas. It has a search capability making subjects easy to find. It often includes specific information on 'how to' do something I am trying to accomplish. It's not fancy but useful.
